“Getting a mortgage doesn’t need to feel like you’re climbing Mt. Everest.” – Matt Shon
Matt Shon is a Licensed Mortgage Originator and Operations Coordinator at Suburban Mortgage. In the mortgage trenches since 1996 and with Suburban since 2012, he’s dedicated to providing his clients a concierge level of service. He does that using his intense knowledge of all facets of the business – from application to closing and beyond. You’ll avoid the frequent pitfalls of less experienced counterparts to reach the summit of home ownership. Matt will act as your personal Sherpa through the entire loan process.
That’s because he works with you from prequalification, gathering the essential information and paperwork up-front. With few surprises. He does all he can to make the entire mortgage process natural and conversational. By the time you find the home you’re looking for, Matt’s aim is to have already completed the majority of “the work” of loan approval. So you can focus on the excitement of your new home! And it sure doesn’t hurt to have the backing of such a strong team here at Suburban.
In fact, Suburban Mortgage specializes in Arizona residential lending. As a small, privately-owned lender, Suburban’s focus is on the quality of the experience with our clients. We strive for a personal touch, not assembly line, cookie-cutter mortgages without a person on the other end of the line. Our Processing and Underwriting is located on-site, and loan decisions are made right here in Arizona.
“I’d like to see a phone app treat people like their neighbor. That’s what we do at Suburban. Once you work with us you’ll see and appreciate the personal difference.”
Matt grew up on Long Island. His travelling spirit landed him in Upstate NY, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Massachusetts. Matt and his wife, Jenn, planted roots in Arizona in 2011. When not helping homebuyers, he enjoys hiking, watching ice hockey, playing pool, laughing with friends and family, spending countless hours surfing real estate listings, and taking road trips off the beaten path.
